While maniacal and using rather controversial techniques to form her potions, Weavess serves as the rather effective potion master of the clan. Her purpose is to produce potions for a variety of purposes - potions that make warriors more effective for battle, that heal different types of injuries, and even potions that serve more domestic purposes such as making an herb harvest more rich and adding nutrients to the plants the herbivores of the clan eat.

Usually clan leader Jupiter assigns the potions he wants Weavess to make, but her true passion is experimentation. Weavess greatly enjoys throwing random ingredients together to see what they create - even if it involves unfortunate live familiars, or even pilfering feathers and scales from sleeping clanmembers. This has made her a tolerated clan member rather than a loved one.

o r i g i n s

Weavess originates from a small clan in the Driftwood Drag, although you won't catch her ever talking about it. Even when she was small, Weavess held a deep hatred for her parents; already obsessed with potion-making (and holding a rather gray moral compass) Weavess considered her brightly colored and goofy parents failures as dragons. After stealing scales and feathers from her parents for months, the final straw was when she set up an accident in order to break her father's antler, then stole it to use in potions. Her parents banished her from the clan, and Weavess traveled on her own for a while, gathering ingredients for her potions. It was only when she came upon the Cloud Steppes Clan and Jupiter gave her more free reign over her experiments that she finally settled.

p e r s o n a l i t y and a p p e a r a n c e

Weavess is best described as "amoral". She uses live subjects, steals from clanmembers, and will go to any length in order to fulfill her passion of potion making. The key is that she doesn't see any of these things as "wrong" - she simply doesn't care. Despite her amorality, she still holds respect for other dragon's positions in the clan, and dutifully fulfills orders for potions from Jupiter without complaint. While she has had some clutches, she cares little for motherhood and prefers to let other dragons raise her children.

Weavess' appearance reflects her personality and potion obsession. Due to the lack of willingness of other clan members in serving as experiment subjects, Weavess has often resorted to using herself as a guinea pig. This warped her face, leading her to have a green and red mask tattooed on to cover it up; her body is covered in large pustules and sacks, some containing strange forms; her claws have taken on a glowing green color from touching numerous potions; and her eyes no longer have true pupils, simply a bright white color. Weavess wears a hood and vest to cover up some of the worst skin blemishes, and also carries around thorns to quickly add to potions.

Weavess' mate is the cunning Imperial Astral. The two have more of a physical attraction and mutual respect than true love; even many of their personality traits clash. Weavess thinks Astral's obsession with dragon couple breed purity is wasteful of his talents, and thinks he's disrespecting Jupiter by undermining him at different opportunities.

Weavess doesn't have a "true" partner. Instead, clan members jokingly point to a livid Turkey ghost as her "partner". An ingredient in a failed experiment, Weavess had kept the poor animal in a cage for weeks, using its feathers as ingredients in potions, before finally adding the familiar to its own potion. In revenge, the Turkey has haunted Weavess, following her around and screaming, driving her insane.
