 Art by albinosilver. a p p a r e l m a k e r Astral's sly demeanor and dark wit has made him known as the most untrustworthy member of the clan, despite his beautiful appearance and extravagant clothing. His role within the clan is primary apparel maker, weaving beautiful cloth and other adornments for clan members, although he always makes sure to keep the most elegant apparel for himself. Astral wants badly to join the ranks of the Guard, but despite being the largest male Imperial within the clan, Jupiter has banned him from joining because of his mistrust of Astral. Astral is not always fair when setting a price on his apparel - he will often require incredible compensation or deeds as payment for his more detailed pieces. He often attempts to pit different dragon members against each other, specifically choosing certain patterns to incite an argument or making casual comments on the relationships of different clan members. This has made him rather unpopular, but his skill at more complex apparel pieces is unmatched, so many clan members grudgingly turn to him for clothing. o r i g i n s Astral hails from the Wispwillow Grove in the Tangled Grove, and left for unknown reasons, although many suspect it was for murder. Astral has a strong belief in the purity of same breed dragon couples, a belief emboldened by his exposure to ridicule by fellow clan members for being born from a mixed breed couple. While Jupiter allowed Astral to join after seeing his intelligence and potential for enriching the clan with his talent in making apparel, he does not trust him fully and suspects Astral may be planning to take over. p e r s o n a l i t y and a p p e a r a n c e Astral is very manipulative and selfish, putting his own needs above all others. He has some positive relationships with clan members, but don't be fooled into thinking Astral may have a softer heart because of his friends and mate - he would gladly sacrifice any of them if it meant he would gain something for himself. Many clan members would claim that Astral is a sociopath, and that he should be avoided. However, Astral's anality about perfection and detail makes him an exceptionally good apparel maker, and he serves his role in the clan well. m a t e Astral's mate is the rather crazy and heartless Weavess. Astral considers Weavess very beautiful, and the two have had a few clutches together, although both prefer the clan Nanny to raise the hatchlings instead of doing it themselves. While the two share a physical relationship and mutual respect (both recognize the hunger for power in the other) they don't really "love" each other. More than likely, this is because both of them are incapable of true love. p a r t n e r  Astral's partner is the wispy Umbra Wolf named Shadow. Astral had raised him from a puppy in his home clan, teaching him to do his bidding and scout and gather information on other dragons. Rumors have been floating that the Wolf had helped carry out murders in Astral's home clan, and Cloud Steppes clanmembers have thus been exceptionally wary of the familiar.
