Having grown up the son of the head of secret police in his home clan, Astennu is a being of discipline and orderly proceedings. That's not to say he has a cold personality, though; interactions outside of business usually bring laughter to both parties and he'll even slip in a few soft jokes while performing medical procedures.

However, he will often suddenly drop into an "I'm so done right now" expression right in the middle of a sentence, leaving his clanmates and patients extremely confused. He insists this is never their fault but hasn't ever revealed the true cause for his exasperation.

He chose to leave his home in water flight to make better use of his rare connection to the spirit realm, taking his befriended healing spirits with him to work in the ghost-infested areas of the sunbeam ruins.



Some of the clan members keep a good distance when he passes, as going through one of his floating companions can be... quite... uncomfortable. The hatchlings have made it a game to dare each other to walk through his school of specter fishies, and find it highly amusing to watch their friends reactions.


Astennu is a bit of a mystery to others. He prefers the darker side of life and has a tendency to see what others do not. This almost "gifted" site makes his peers wary of him, thus he is typically found alone. This however does not bother him, as he is by nature a loner. During his time in the Water flight, Astennu marveled at the ocean's deepest trenches and all of the strange creatures who resided there. This showed him that even the darkest of creatures can be beautiful.
