Rokia is the more balanced of the two Gaolers. Make no mistake, she's every bit as headstrong as Vard, but she's much better at keeping her cool and not letting her emotions get the best of her. Logical and straightforward even in the direst of situations, she's usually the only one able to get through to her mate and talk sense into him when he gets agitated.

The pair of Gaolers arrived to the clan suddenly and without warning, guided by the strong smell of a shadebeast emanating from the sanctuary. Originally determined to capture and transfer the creature to the Fortress of Ends, the two managed to do considerable damage to the clan grounds in search of their target before Baldur and Isla finally got through to them. Explaining the situation and demonstrating to the newcomers just how things with Myrkur worked in the clan, they were able to reach a compromise.

The creature could stay if the Gaolers could stay to keep an eye on it. Since the clan is always open to new members, a warm welcome was extended to the former-seekers-now-keepers on the condition that they help rebuild what they wrecked.

Rokia was able to reason Vard and herself into the compromise, although it wasn't easy for either one of them. Sure, it was tough for Vard who just wanted to do his job no matter what, but Rokia had always prided herself in her fierce loyalty and disobeying clear orders went against so many of her core principles. She, however, knew this was the right move to make, and once their superiors had given their blessing to the idea Rokia immediately felt better about the unexpected career change. Able to follow new orders, she was more than happy to stay and guard this peculiar monster.
