Discovered when he was just an egg one cold December night, Merlinda brought him home to the lair and put him in a nest. The two had an instant connection when he hatched, and he became more like a companion to Merl than the other dragons, watching television with her through the lair's mystic screen that separates the lair from Merlinda's world. He fell in love with The Princess and The Frog and the villain song, "singing" it as he bounded around the lair with typical Nocturne hatchling energy. The older dragons generally overlooked his over-enthusiasm.


Growing older, it is still his favorite song, though with maturity the puppy-like howls became a low, rumbling croon. He wears his top hat proudly and revels in the mysterious Gloomwillow Guide and his Insubstantial Illusionist familiar and the Haunted Flame Candles he received on his first birthday. Despite the spooky attire he enjoys, he likes checking on the nesting sites, looking in on expectant parents and playing with hatchlings until they leave for their new homes. Until the day this little girl hatched....
