Charusheela ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Indian name meaning "diamond" or "beautiful jewel" It is hard to miss Charusheela-- the large and muscular guardian stands above the clan, her scales catching radiant facets of sunlight. She is happy to bask on her perch and calmly oversee the dragons below, ensuring that no quarrels erupt. In the rare event that a dragon with ill intentions were to get past the gaoler sentries and patrols and make their way to the inner clan, she would be there to confront them. She guards the clan as her charge, and the otherwise agreeable dragon becomes fierce and does not hold back her might when it comes time to protect it Charusheela was among the first dragons to join the clan; that being said, her clanmates were initially wary of her because they were not used to being around Plague dragons yet. However, Charusheela soon proved herself to be a dependable dragon and even took the clan as her charge. As the clan grew in size, Charu only grew more protective of her charge, standing at her post all day every day as long as the sun was up. Around this time another guardian, Kek, arrived at the clan and also took its protection as his charge. Rather than clashing over their shared charge, the two guardians found that their schedules worked perfectly around each other, with Charu guarding the clan during the day and Kek taking watch at night. Since each dragon only slept while the other worked, they found it easy to share a hollow, only interacting when they changed shifts at dawn and dusk. Even though they spent a short time in each others presence each day, Charusheela and Kek found themselves growing closer together. They sought each other out during their breaks to rest or eat, and they helped each other put on their armor before their respective shifts. They even occasionally asked Lilac to take up their post for part of the day so that they could rest with each other. The pair found that in sharing the same charge, even while divided by day and night, they were inseparable. The whole clan celebrated with them when they declared that they were life mates, and again when they had four healthy hatchlings. |
