Empire of Death: Clan of Death
|
Born as a tundra dragon by the name of Midnight, he was raised from an egg rescued by the dragons living in the small Clan of Death before it grew into an empire. He did... something to earn his keep in the Plague clan. What had it been? He couldn't say and most dragons that once lived in the clan were long gone and unable to help remind him of the life he once lived. His memories of that time as a hatchling and young adult in his birth home are long gone, wiped from his memory. Oddly, this occurred shortly after he left the clan and found a new one in Shadow.
His life in his next clan is surprisingly even more hazy. He took on a new name, unable to remember his first one. The young dragon had never experienced memory problems until showing up in this new home. It worried him, made him wonder if they'd forced him to forget his old life. Those worries were quickly displaced the longer he stayed in the clan. He even managed to start a family while he was there with a mirror dragon. Naturally, he is unable to remember his hatchlings. Only that he had three of them. The names of them and his mate, along with what they looked like, were forgotten about. During that time he also had another mate, a bogsneak, and three more hatchlings before moving on to a nocturne, which he again had three more hatchlings with. All of which would be forgotten about when another bout of amnesia hit one day when he left this second clan. In this clan he took on the name Mace Windu. He'd used magic to take on the form of a skydancer dragon during his travels but in his new home once again shifted his appearance to that of a snapper. Most dragons took him for a brute strength type of dragon with this appearance, which hid his true magical powers and took many by surprise. For a while he stayed in this clan and honed his powers in magic. His shape shifting abilities and fire elemental magic grew more and more powerful but he soon grew tired of his guise and the lair he stayed in. Soon he was once again running off to a new home, something pulling him to find a missing piece. Maybe it was because he wasn't a tundra anymore, but his memory was starting to stay clearer and he began noticing where pieces of memory were missing. |
A place in Lightning became a new home for him. This time he took the name Dhyana and took the form of a wildclaw. It was his favorite so far. Being bipedal made it much easier to do things in, especially compared to his previous snapper form- he wasn't going to pretend to be one of them again. Sure, he'd take breaks when no one was around but it had been rather difficult to sneak around without seeming suspicious. Shape shifting magic wasn't exactly something he wanted other dragons to know about. Doing it wasn't exactly the most common thing, let alone easy to learn. He left once again, unable to settle down. He returned to Plague, something seemingly pulling him to go back there. Crossing into the Empire of Death's territory, he was caught and taken to their leader, Cerberus, to see what was to be done with him. Though his form had changed and he was now older, the guardian quickly recognized him. The trickster recognized him as well, abet faintly. His memories wouldn't return though he knew the guardian was telling the truth. It seemed by some force of luck or by a thread of fate he'd finally returned home. Dhyana kept his name for the time being, as his original name, Midnight, didn't quite feel right anymore. He wasn't the same dragon anymore, he'd grown. He was able to settle down, reunite with a few other dragons he'd grown up around, but still gets restless occasionally. Not wanting to completely abandon his home now that he'd found them once more, he'll typically volunteer to go on scouting missions or work as a spy in order to explore and spread his wings. All in all, it works out well for the both of them. He gets to travel and have a home while the empire gets a powerful ally. At least his memory hasn't acted up again. |
