Eliza

“…it’s fine. It didn’t blow up the entire station this time.”

Only child to Shadow and Enigmata, Eliza can be a bit of an entitled, spoiled brat. Okay, a lot of one. Part of it comes from her heavy augmentations, which makes her think she’s superior to any ordinary dragon. Because of that, her ongoing project is tinkering on herself, as well as her section of the lair. You need to be careful going into her sections, because you’re liable to trip over a…something…with a high electrical current. And that’s where most of her arguments with her father come in.

Eliza eschews the Arcanic technologies, preferring instead to focus on electrical power. It may lack the universal applications, but it’s clearly more powerful! She’s done the math…and the spreadsheets…and all of that. If not for the eyes, you could be easily tricked into thinking that she’s a Lightning dragon, and perhaps she is at heart. She’s got the work obsession. In fact, the only thing that can make her stop working is her mate, Syntax. Although, that doesn’t happen too often, as he enjoys helping her improve herself, in the hopes that one day she will finally see herself as the beauty that he sees her as.

Recently, she’s been making excursions into the Strand, and occasionally beyond, to start testing the limits of her form. Generally, this has been with Syntax, but she also sometimes sneaks out without him, to test her own limits.

More than once, though, has this lead to complications. None more notable than the time that her generator almost died on her in the middle of fighting a swarm of Crystalplate Stingers. That almost ended in disaster, and she learned a valuable lesson that day. Or, at least she should have. Any other dragon would have learned that discretion is the better part of valor (and, more importantly, survival). Eliza, on the other hand, learned that she needs to install a backup generator. And maybe look into voltaic forcefields. The kind that doesn’t discharge into the user’s body…

But, until the time comes when she can fully become the pinnacle of dragonkind, she can only dream, and tinker, and learn from her errors. And, through it all, record her findings, so that when she finally reaches apotheosis, others can learn from her, and ascend to become her disciples.

Okay, maybe she has some slight delusions of grandeur…
