Eir is the founder of Clan Embershroud, along with her mate, Xan. From the beginning, she watched over her progeny dilligently, until Xan had proposed that the two go on a pilgrimage to the Great Furnace for further guidance. With hesitation, Eir agreed and the two departed, leaving their beloved clan for what she felt was forever. It took a while for them to find their way back to the clan itself, since it had relocated since their departure. In time, they found their way to the Obsidian Keep, and were welcomed back with open arms.
