Never trust a survivor until you find out
what they did to survive.

Rolls out of bed and without fail manages to wake up his mate. Every. Day. this results in a lot of sweet nothings whispered to placate her, and murphy has a sneaking suspicion part of why she wakes up is because she also enjoys their morning shenanigans.
Gets to the training arena early to warm up before everyone else gets there. Is sometimes joined by Zuko on these early mornings.
After an hour or two some clan inhabitants usually show up, who depends on the day and the dragons mood. Sometimes it’s visitors, and sometimes it’s no one. Murphy doesn’t really mind either way.
Usually once it’s closer to noon his mate will show up, either to help or just watch him.
At noon his adoptive daughter Agrius and one or two of her warriors show up to keep in shape. This is Murphy’s favorite time of day, as he gets to spar with Agrius. He’s recently come to the realization that there’s nothing more he can teach her, but he genuinely just loves interacting with her.
Later he finds Anya if she isn’t already around, and together they grab a late lunch from Feliks. On some days they are joined by River, some days by Eros and Ares (sarcastic old man club), and other days they eat alone.
After the meal he heads back to the training grounds for another hour or so, before calling it a day.
When he isn’t working or training, he likes hanging out with Feliks, mostly because the communal food dwelling usually has a lot of action and different dragons heading to and fro. It’s like a meeting hub, where he can spend some time with the dragons he usually doesn’t spend time with.
It’s also an excellent spot for him to sneak glances at Rill, Maniae, and Yachil.
In the late evening he and Anya retire (Anya having sneaked up on him sometime during the night), and they spend the night together in their dwelling, sometimes talking, and sometimes just enjoying each others company.

Murphy has only voiced his thoughts about Yachil to Anya, but he’s very suspicious of him. Something about the brewmaster feels disingenuous and there’s something familiar about that gleam in the mirrors eyes. He knows that some clan members feels shifty around Maniae, but Murphy has zoned in on Yachil entirely. He knows that Yachil and Maniae sneak off at night to scheme, and he doesn’t like it. At all.
Murphy is aware that Rill is somewhat clumped together with Maniae and Yachil, but he’s also seen the way she looks at Agrius, and the way Agrius looks at Rill. He’s of the opinion that as long as Rill or Agrius gets the nerve to ask the other out, Rill will no longer be an issue. He’s secure in the thought that his daughter will sort anything evil or deranged out in the curious abberration.

Past

Grew up in nature. His dad was killed while protecting Murphy and his mother, and his mother stopped caring after that so he raised himself and resorted to fighting and stealing. His mother died from eating some poisoned meat, and Murphy found her.
He was always more brutal and efficient than other dragons his age, and they all shunned him as a result. As soon as he left adolescence he left nature, finding solace in plague.
He wandered the wasteland for a while, occasionally staying with various clans and trading his fighting knowledge for food and information.
After a while he stumbled upon the clan of the dead stag and met Anya.
Anya told him of an allied clan of theirs that she was travelling to, and Murphy tagged along. The two became friends, and later on lovers.
When reaching the clan they were quietly accepted by the current leader Yachil, and they ran with them.
Murphy was uncomfortable with the way it was run, but stayed for the benefit of Anya
When Dissection took over, he self appointed himself as the clans trainer.
All was calm for a while (for murphy, the Wanheda thing happened), and Murphy grew a little closer to River, Eros, and Ares.
Afterwards when the blowup with Atlas’ old mate happened, Anya and Murphy decided to adopt Agrius
The two raised her and trained her to be as deadly as possible. Murphy had never been more proud than when she got appointed as warrior first in command
When Zuko and Katara joined the clan Murphy instantly took a liking to Zuko, and the two of them have some sassy banter now and then.
Murphy eventually trained Maniae and Rill alongside his adoptive daughter, and isn’t sure how he feels about them
