Past

Born in an allied clan to a couple who lived to scavenge for bones, and they’d wished for Rey to continue the tradition like his siblings.
Rey had other plans
He began using the supple clay of the wasteland to create beautiful sculptures, and even portraits. As he grew older he was fascinated by how well Nelchael worked, selling Rey and everyone elses items. In it he sensed an opportunity, but he knew he’d never be able to fulfill it in the Clan of the Dead Stag.
An opportunity presented itself in the accidental read of a very private letter from a previous clan member named Anya to her mother, CrimsonLeaves. She expressed in the letter an easy way of commerce, and described how the hunters had to barter with everyone individually, and the issue the blacksmith was having with sending his work off to sea. Rey had remembered Anya from his younger days, and knew her to be a serious but truthful kind of mirror, and so he decided to travel to the Clan of Rot to set up a shop that would fill the space that was currently missing.
The journey was easy, and he found no protests when he first set up his empire. People aren’t as happy about him anymore, but Rey finds that he would rather have coin then have people like him.
The times he joined were peaceful, something that changed rather abruptly, but despite it all he managed to stay afloat. Something to do with his charm and intelligence, or so Rey himself believes. He’s managed to get his very first friend in Ravage, and is deeply curious about the handsome Max and the beautiful Pansy.
