Charaxes has always had an eye for beauty and a silver tongue, so his appointment as court poet came as no surprise to anyone. He finds inspiration in the frozen beauty of the land, his mate Etesipe, the local flora and fauna, Etesipe, the sky, and mostly, Etesipe. He really adores Etesipe. To be fair, she adores him back and they make a handsome match, but at this point even Delphinus is getting tired of Charaxes's love sonnets about her. Still, his unique perspective on the world have earned him respect in the literary circles of the kingdom, and the archives are always excited to get his latest scrolls and manuscripts.

When he is note waxing poetic about his love, and has not been explicitly asked to share his poetry, Charaxes puts his silver tongue to good use by helping negotiate treaties and trades with other kingdoms and other lands. While not an ambassador himself, He does work quite a bit with many of them, namely Summer, the Light Ambassador for Silverwick. His travels only add fuel to the poetic fire in his soul, but it wounds his heart deeply with the time he must spend away from Etesipe.
