Hyacinth was born a lady of the royal court, but she wasn't really much for the court intrigues and social expectations, so at a young age she devoted herself to the Temple of Spring, and became a disciple of Blossom's. She was drawn to the free spirited nature of the temple, but what really got her to stay were the enchanted gardens, spelled to grow the most incredible of flowers even in the coldest Icefield winters. Hyacinth took to gardening as a fish takes to water, soon over passing the skill of those who taught her initially. Her work at creating new kinds of flowers is well known, and even the royal chambers have held vases of her unique creations.
Always a joyful sort, Hyacinth has an infectious laugh and an easy going nature. She is quick to make friends, though some of the haughtier members of the court still look down on her for giving up a life in the peerage for a "lesser" life as a seasonal disciple. Though she doesn't particularly mind the comments herself, Hyacinth does worry on what effect her decision has had for her daughter, Dahlia, who remains at court.
