His name means "Brightest" in the ancient tongue shared by Imperial and Emperor dragons. He was so named because of all his clutch-mates, he was the only one to inherit the light wing coloration of his mother instead of the dark wing coloration of his father.
∙ BACKGROUND ∙

The youngest son of the ancient leader of an Arcane clan. As a hatchling, Ibtefreyi saw the many scars on his father's body and swore to dedicate himself to the healing arts in order to ease his father's pain. His first tutelage came at the wing of his maternal grandfather, the renowned Shadow healer Azalea. After a lifetime spent in single-minded study, Ibtefreyi is a master healer but terribly awkward around other dragons.
∙ ROLE ∙

Ibtefreyi joined Zakodan's clan in order to be closer to the Tidelord's oracles, who are rumored to have knowledge of certain secret medical techniques. While he hasn't yet learned to brew any eldritch medicines, he's had plenty of opportunity to perfect his bandaging technique on the many scrapes and bruises that the more rambunctious members of the clan rack up. He thinks his bedside manner is also improving, though in reality he's still stilted and shy in conversation.
∙ RELATIONSHIPS ∙

Ibtefreyi hatched his first nest with Pemphredo in an unsuccessful attempt to fulfill a prophecy delivered to Pemphredo by the oracles of the deep. He finds her rather intimidating, and has settled down with the cheery Maki.
