I was having a bad day and getting over a really bad flu when SURPRISE! Friendo dropped this lovely lady on me out of nowhere after I commented about a thread she was in ;v; I love her so much she’s so pretty aaa

Thank you so so much Skarlette, she’s gorgeous and I adore her! Original names Kin and Syksyn, from NowViewing’s lair (auctioned HERE by SilverQuark).

UPDATE 05/04/22: I found most (if not all) her original owners! Zelai (Kin) > Satire > creosote > NowViewing (Syksyn) > Me (Gryphon). Seems like she originally had Poison and Facet too. She even had art in a Speedpaint. I hope everyone who owned her loved her as much as I do :3

The griffin, griffon, or gryphon (Greek: γρύφων, grýphōn, or γρύπων, grýpōn, early form γρύψ, grýps; Latin: gryphus, meaning "curved", in the sense of a beak or a hooked nose) is a legendary creature with the body, tail, and back legs of a lion; the head and wings of an eagle; and sometimes an eagle's talons as its front feet. Because the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts, and the eagle the king of the birds, by the Middle Ages the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature. Since classical antiquity, griffins were known for guarding treasures and priceless possessions. In Greek and Roman texts, griffins and Arimaspians were associated with gold deposits of Central Asia. Indeed, as Pliny the Elder wrote, "griffins were said to lay eggs in burrows on the ground and these nests contained gold nuggets." In medieval heraldry, the griffin became a Christian symbol of divine power and a guardian of the divine.
