Biography
Mother and Mentor |
Elestin
Diplomat
Voice of the Clan
Perhaps, when all this is over... we can speak of peace again.
Elestin's egg was found while out hunting in the Sandswept Delta. Though her wings are still too small and undeveloped, she already shows a fascination with flight. Aered is particularly enchanted with this little fiery foundling. Her Serthis caretaker and familiar, Imai, is the one who originally found Elestin's egg; as thanks for bringing it to the Stelaris clan, the opheodrys is allowed free access to the den, and shows no inclination to leave her little foundling's side. Elestin considers Imai something between a sister and a mother, or as close to a mother as the foundling knows. Imai visits as often as she can without causing suspicion or alarm in her tribe, and whenever they can't spend time together they exchange letters with the help of a few befriended Storm Seekers. Her experience in dealing with Beastclan members and her status as a foundling have made Elestin a very open-minded individual, willing to listen and quick to help. She acts as mediator and diplomat both within her clan and in dealings outside of it. However, Elestin was still raised by a Serthis, and has learned cunning and secrecy from her surrogate mother. She is more than capable of defending her own and using her enemies and allies alike if necessary. Elestin is able to act surprisingly (and terrifyingly) detached, separating her own interests and emotions from her actions and words entirely. Elestin acted to defend her clan during the rebellion of the Twenty-Fourth Arcane Hunger Games, though her heart wasn't in her actions. She burned the rebels' supplies, hoping to drive them away, but she couldn't quite detach herself enough to raise a claw against them. Elestin entered the Arena herself, a long time ago, and remembers the pain it brought her. When the fighting ended, she was the first one to begin the peace talks with the rebels and her clanmates who sided with them. The diplomat only hopes life in the clan can return to normal, though she knows it will never be like it was before. AHG Participant, Games 10, 30, and 48 Clan Defender during the Rebellion |
Birthstone:
Charge: The Cornerstone Shards at the heart of the lair, brought home after a trip to the Molten Scar. Elestin suspects they are world-heart crystals, pieces of raw power from the Flamecaller that solidified and were buried in the tumultuous First Age. That might explain why so many fire dragons seem drawn to the lair...
