Startrail's first trip just so happened to be in a Shadow clan, just like his birth clan. He was excited to see if the dragons there were any different than those at home, and if they had different traditions. He was welcomed by the clan leader Atheros, and was soon introduced to the rest of the clan, most were delighted to meet him, but a few gave him skeptic looks. He made friends with a fellow Tundra named Caelum, and soon noticed an entrancing female Skydancer, Eira. The slightly aloof Skydancer took a liking to him, and after a short amount of time they had a nest with two eggs. He was subjected to an acrobat performance by the Circus mage Dysnomia, and various tricks by the twins, Hail and Blizzard, all in good fun, as they like to call it. Days went by quickly with all the fun they had, and when it was time to say goodbye, he promised to return one day. But for now he would continue his travels to see the world. Before he left, the imperial princess Amunta drew him a portrait he could take with him on his travels.

Startrails next travel took him out of his element and into the bright domain of the Lightweaver. The intensity of the sun was harsh on his eyes, but he adjusted faster than he expected, surprising even himself. He was briefly greeted by Yelena before the high council showed him to his temporary lodging. Nobody in the clan was surprised to see Startrail, but some were curious. At first they had thought him a permanent member of the clan. It wasn't until Shar let them know he was a traveller that they understood... or at least some of them did. He was given a "temporary" familiar to watch over for the time being which he found fun if not a bit awkward. His first encounter outside of the higher authority was Terenity. He was entertained by her upbeat and odd personality. Upon finding out he was just a traveler, she took it upon herself to show him each and every thing about the clan so that he could truly enjoy his trip. In the heat of the moment they ended up producing a clutch of just one egg, so Startrail stayed long enough to watch it hatch. The hatchling was as wild as her mother! Startrail decided to allow Terenity to name him, since it was her first hatchling. She decided to name him after her father, Wendareh. She said that if they ever met again she’d name the next after him. All in all it was a very interesting trip, definitely memorable. His name and story had even been recorded by the town storyteller! But, soon enough he was on his way.

Captain's Log:

Day 44 (Jan 5th)
I am on my way to my new surrogate clan. This will be the third clan on my journey and is a new part of the world, of which I am unfamiliar. But it is late and dark already, so I am unsure of my surroundings. More tomorrow, after a good sleep and meeting new friends.

Day 45 (Jan 6th)
A warm breeze ruffled my fur and feathers as I awoke in fresh daylight. I was greeted by a gentle Imperial named Crabapple, who promptly took me on an early morning tour around this area, known as the Windswept Plateau. Fractured pillars give way to reedy alcoves but the area sure has been peaceful. Crabapple introduced me to other clanmembers. All seem friendly.

A like-minded Tundra named Maddy approached me and we have spent most of the day together. She is humorous and easy with whom to speak.

Day 46 (Jan 7th)
I woke to find something hard and wobbly sitting next to me. After rubbing my eyes, I realized it was an egg. Two eggs, in fact! Maddy slept soundly, cradling the other egg. How exciting! She has had a few other children so I knew she would be a great mother. I curled up with the wiggling egg and we fell back asleep. I love a nice, lazy day.

Day 47 (Jan 8th)
One of the first members of the clan who had welcomed me a couple of days ago, brought me a friend who swirled eagerly in his glass ball. He is a very interesting creature, known as a Lesser Wisp. He seemed to like listening to my stories of my travels so far. I know we will be friends, no matter the distance.

Day 48 (Jan 9th)
Maddy urged me to leave our egglings in her care while I go explore the Wind Plateau. She says that part of my journey is to enjoy the surroundings and make the most of this time. I will bring her and the egglings back a souvenir. A quiet, but nature-loving imperial named Zhao invited me to go overnight camping and sleep under the stars. I was unsure of being gone a whole night but Maddy has assured me that she will be fine. She does have the rest of the clan to help her, also.

Day 49 (Jan 10th)
Zhao is taking me on an overnight camping trip today. Crabapple is also coming along, as he is a native Wind dragon and knows the area as well as Zhao; they are best friends and love nature. I am told that the egglings are due to hatch on a very important birthday, so they will forever share and be linked! How exciting! Tomorrow will be my last day with this clan. Though I am excited to see my egglings hatch tomorrow, it will be bittersweet as I have to be on my way to my next adventure.

Day 49 (Jan 10th) Night Edition
The stars are so beautiful! Zhao, Crabapple and I are camped out under the skies, warm breezes flutter in our fur and tickle our wings. Crabapple likes to talk, but his voice is soothing. Zhao hardly talks at all but did ask if I have enjoyed my stay. Which I have! Very much so. A friendly clan, warm and loving. As I lay under the dreamy stars, I reflected upon my visit; the friends I've made, the memories that I will carry with me until the end of my days, it has been splendid.

Day 50 (Jan 11th)
My last day with this Wind clan. On our way back from our camping trip, presently. Zhao is not fond of having his picture taken, but showed me in the daylight a sketch he drew of me gazing at the stars on our wonderful camp-out. He really has talent! I also found a sparkly rock, which I will bring back to Maddy because it sparkles like she does.

Day 50 (Jan 11th) Afternoon
We arrived back at the clan to find that there are several new additions! The eggs have hatched! The pair really took after their mother. Oh, I am just so happy! Everyone congratulated us and then gave us some time alone with them. Maddy wants me to name them before I leave. I think I will name the older boy DarkStar, and the girl will be Stargazer, and ever a memory of my amazing night under the stars. I will end this passage now, to properly spend time with my new family before I must depart. It has truly been a wonderful time and I will carry these memories forever.

Sh4dow
I made a trip down to the gloomy shadow lair owned by a clan leader called Sh4dow. This lair actually seemed alright, I heard the shadow clans were all mysterious always looking for trouble but I can say my visit to this particular place was very enjoyable. The lair sparkled with glimmering blue and purples, the rocks glowed with luminous blue lights also, and caves which weren't so dark. This vast area full of life, full of joy, full of many different dragon types all happily playing and socializing with one another. My visit was fantastic I spent much time with many of the clans dragons and made friends with many of then. A particular Imperial Female called Mallow, was so pretty her silver crystal skin and her red underbelly. She was the kindest and most caring dragon I met in this lair. She showed me round and really made me felt welcome at this lair stop.I enjoyed my visit so much I ended up spending much of my treasure not being able to move on to another destination. I had to stay an extra few days. I can say that I really enjoyed my stay at this shadow lair.

I continued my journey in the Wispwillow Grove, and soon encountered familiar tracks in the undergrowth. I inhaled the musky air as I walked in the glow of luminescent mushrooms, the crooked branches here smelled strangely like friendship and I blinked slowly, recognising the clearing before me. The clan had grown significantly since the last time I was there, naturally, old faces greeted me warmly and welcomed me back, while a few of the newcomers cocked their heads to the side and looked questioningly at the clan leader, who only chastised them for not showing proper hospitality. I met up with my former love from this very clan, Eira, and we quickly fell back into routine. Far too soon, two new Tundra hatchlings emerged from their eggs, and to my surprise, a beautiful little female who looks exactly like me. With pride swelling in my chest, I was ready to visit a new clan.

After all this traveling, Startrail was ready for a break. So he spoke to Glaciem, head of his home clan, and asked if he could stay, to which she replied yes, of course. Startail was a sweetheart and a pleasure to have around, she was glad for him to spend some time there, as was the rest of the clan.
Despite his attempt to not have a nest this time, thinking that it would be hard for whoever he mated with for him to be going home and leaving all the time, he was drawn to a pretty little snapper named Shadowwisp. He spent those five days beside the nest, talking with he and learning about the snapper whod been born and raised there. She told him all about her family tree and how three generations had been in this clan, and how proud she was. It was an interesting difference from his own life, he was movig around, visiting new places and not settling down at any place. It proved that opposites did attract.
After some thought, they named their children Seeker, Dusk, and Midnightmist.
