Gender: female, she/her Not unlike her name, Gowon has seen a lot of “goers” in her lifetime, spending much of her hatchling days simply being a bystander. Her parents? Her previous clan? All “goers.” For all she cared, she’d never even had a previous home before she’d met Olivia, who had discovered her in a weakened state beneath the underbrush on that fateful day. The butterflies, however? Absolute stayers. They seemed to follow her wherever she went, happily hovering around Gowon’s form, trailing behind her during her flights through the realm. It was endearing, really, and Gowon liked to think that she understood their thoughts better than other dragons could. “The butterflies seem to protect you,” Olivia had observed, not long after their initial meeting. “They like your presence; they seem attracted to you.” The fellow Fae had given Gowon a long look, cocking her head. “Are you sure you’re not a Nature dragon?” “I promise I was born here in Shadow flight!” Gowon insisted, fluttering her wings in frustration before letting out a wince of pain. She’d forgotten about her injured wing. Instead, she settles for leaning her head in, forcing Olivia to meet her gaze. “Just look at my eyes! They’re as purple as can be, right?” “I suppose so,” Olivia admitted, bobbing her head before returning back to mashing together some berry pulp to try and help Gowon with her injury. “You don’t really look like one though— no offense.” “I get that a lot,” Gowon had sighed. Her tail twitches slightly when one of her butterflies – the vibrant pink one – lands on it, the weight feather-light. “The butterflies really don’t help my image as a scary Shadow flight member.” “No, they do not,” the black and red Fae had agreed readily, much to Gowon’s chagrin. It’s then that the smaller Fae had started to wonder how long she could deal with this overly blunt and straightforward dragon. Back then, Gowon had absolutely no idea that this same exact Fae she had been trading insults with would later become her dearest friend and beloved mate. -- Gowon prides herself for actually being one of the quieter members of the Troupe. Despite her energetic appearance around fellow Troupemates, she actually becomes rather subdued around foreign dragons, making her a rather versatile member in terms of her role during heists and pillages. Still, despite her little butterfly friends being wonderful methods of surveillance, Gowon prefers to use them in her dances— Gowon is famous throughout the realm for her captivating dances. Often, she function as one of the rotating openers for their shows, smiling happily at their crowd as she welcomes them all to enjoy the ride with the slight tip of her butterfly mask. "Welcome to Luna Velvet! We're all honored to be performing for you all! Would you please join me in giving a big round of applause for our wonderful ringmaster, Olivia!"
