Gender: female, she/her Slipping around the captivated audience, Shion quietly makes her way into the trees, creeping along the ground before taking off and zipping through the trees. She’s long since mastered the art of silent flight, zipping through the trees with soundless grace. The nearby dens are empty, having been successfully entranced by the Troupe’s wonderful show, and while the elegant Skydancers, flawless Coatls, and powerful Imperials put on the best performance the realm has ever seen, Shion leads the rest of their family in yet another foolproof heist. Flicking her wings, letting the moonlight spill over their smoky design, she signals to the shadows hiding in the nearby forest. Slowly, they slink out of their hiding places, hiding in plain sight as they creep towards the residences. Riku is by her side in a heartbeat, and Shion doesn’t even flinch when he seemingly materializes behind her, ice-blue eyes glinting from beneath his crimson hood. “Let’s go,” she says lowly, calling to her fellow thieves, remembering the plan she had discussed with Olivia from earlier. “We’ve got some loot to pillage.” Looking up, she spies the distinct grin of Corrin, the Nocturne, from where he had been hovering near the moon, his signature crooked grin standing out amongst the night sky. It only takes the faintest of swishes of her tail to signal him, and he chuckles, eagerly folding his wings into a dive, plunging into the depths of the den. Without another word, she and Riku take off, zooming into a neighboring den, motioning for their other companions still hidden in the shadows to follow suit— they do so seamlessly, and Shion feels another swell of pride bubble up in her chest. They're a band of misfits and puzzle pieces that never quite fit, yes, but they're her family, and she's proud to know that they've had her back through the thick and thin. The birdskull she wears as a helmet rattles as she hums, feeling the magic coursing through her body as she casts a simple spell, calling the darkness to cover their paths as they’re blessed by the Shadowbinder herself. Yes, she might have been born a Plague dragon, and yes, she might have the crimson eyes to prove it, but there’s no place like home in the Shadows.
