Leader of the Mages’ Guild

Arcane Council
Some people just can’t handle power. It corrupts them, and no amount of authority is enough to satisfy their desire for more. They throw others to the ground and betray those they care for most in an attempt to make it to the top. Copernicus knows this all too well.
This Nocturne is the leader of his clan’s mages’ guild. A powerful sorcerer in his own right, he leads his fellow magic-users and acts as head of the Arcane Council— an ancient order of Arcane dragons that seeks to solve the most mysterious secrets the world has to offer. It’s a prestigious position, and Copernicus does not take it lightly. He is very careful to be fair to his followers, and does his best not to abuse his power.

Not everyone is so considerate, however. Only a few months ago, Copernicus was betrayed by his very own apprentice, Blazemouth. The Wildclaw was not content to serve under the mages’ guild. He desired more and more power and wanted to overthrow Copernicus and take his place. Of course, that simply wouldn’t do.

Copernicus has eyes and ears everywhere. He heard about his apprentice’s betrayal and quickly put a stop to it. Now he no longer trains Blazemouth, and the younger dragon is banished from the guild— forced to the fringes of the clan to live on his own in shame.
He’s become rather reserved in recent weeks. He prefers his books and spells to other dragons. Blazemouth’s betrayal is certainly to blame.
