Biography
Celephais, the gentle mate to Kuranes, is the Windhovers' horticulturist. Even in the desert, vegetarian dragons must eat. Deep in the damp caverns of Windhover Mesa, Celephais tends to gardens of glowing mushrooms. Up near the surface, in the hatchery room, where skylights let in shafts of sunlight from the surface of the mesa, Celephais uses her gentle magic to cultivate a lush tangle of species imported from the Viridian Labyrinth and the Windswept Plateau.
Celephais is a quiet soul, generally keeping out of other dragons' way. She's become great friends with Ilena, who appreciates the beauty of her flowers, and with the two Tundras, Starspell and Starfall, who praise Celephais' plants for their flavor and delicate aroma. The only dragon Celephais can't stand is Shulmanu, the clan's water-keeper, who frequently scolds her for taking too much of the clan's precious resources. Celephais also resents Shulmanu for not letting her grow delicious algae and kelp in the water tanks--even if she knows, logically, that it would make the pipes substantially harder to clean.
