Biography

Bluetooth is an exceedingly talkative and opinionated dragon with a voice of her own. Bluetooth's parents brought her to the Windhover clan as a hatchling, after hearing that the Windhovers were in need of a dragon skilled at working with power cells. Bluetooth, working independently in her icy home, had discovered that super-cooled cells were capable of storing far more electrical potential than those kept at room temperature. Gwen, the clan's current "project leader," was so impressed that she took the hatchling under her wing--literally and metaphorically--on the spot.

Bluetooth idolizes Gwen, and has made it her life's goal to develop the perfect safe, tiny, implantable power cell to for Gwen's familiar "uplift" project. Bluetooth has proved a meticulous, determined worker... but she can't take no for an answer from anyone but Gwen. This defiance has put her on thin ice with Sarnath, who demands respect from his workers--he might be retired, but he's still far, far older and wiser than any of the other Windhovers. Most of the other dragons just laugh off her occasional rudeness, which only makes Bluetooth seethe with barely-repressed fury. Some day, she WILL inherit leadership from Gwen. Someday...

The one flaw that Bluetooth will admit to herself is her affection for Ohm, the clan's electrician-in-training. She knows he lacks the ambition to do anything other than power the lair, or the aptitude to make any fabulous scientific discoveries. She also dislikes his lack of caution and sloppy work... but their shared love of engineering, and sheer determination to solve a problem that's been put in front of them, always brings them back together.
