While the Fire Flight is well-known for crafting tools and weapons, this is far from the only application of their metalwork. Almer is the latest in a long line of jewellers, meticulously transforming rare ores and gems into wearable works of art.

Although he primarily works with his mate Adler, he also collaborates with Blue Topaz and her fellow fiber-artists to create complementary shawl pins and scarf slides, as well as stitch-markers and row-counters. When not creating or designing new pieces, he maintains a strict fitness regimen to ensure that he has sufficient strength for his metalwork.

Many dragons are surprised at how quiet and composed Almer seems to be. However, his clanmates are aware that when things go awry, his fiery temper flares uncontrollably... leading to caretakers covering their young charges' ears, while others run for fire-proof cover.
