Would you believe me if I told you it means mud?

Beetlejuice doesn't do anything unless it benefits him. He's also quite the trickster, always messing up others work and playing mean pranks on others. He's been in the clan long enough that he's fluent in both Cthulhu and regular dragonic. This made him the most practiced dragon in the language department, meaning he became the main translator. Sure, others can translate, but Beetlejuice is the only one who's 100% accurate when translating.

At least when it comes to important stuff. If it's something trivial, like "what's in that bag?" you're better off asking Virus. He's known to fool travelers into the wyrmwound, just for ***** and giggles. The leader Dissection would kick him out, but then he'd probably lose Castiel and Darkforge too, the only ones who actually enjoy the company of Beetlejuice. Since they're the only scientists who can work on some sort of way to get rid of those weird bumps, Beetlejuice's place in the clan is secure. That is, until the issue is solved.

Which, come think of it, probably won't happen since Beetlejuice is the one who placed the bumps there in the first place. Castiel is in on it, and Dissection is suspecting it, but unfortunately he can't do anything without proof. Which, you know, probably won't happen since Beetlejuice is pretty darn sneaky.

//Present//
Beetlejuice's luck only lasted so long, Dissection tired of his shenanigans, and decided to live with the bumps then live with Beetlejuice's B.S. Casted out with a nasty scratch from his ex-leader, he trudged across the wasteland and eventually ended up in the Chasm. Desperate for money he tried to steal from the Daystar Bank. To Beetle’s shock, his plan didn’t work, the lifeless statues inside the vault came to life and restrained him before he could even touch a single gold coin. He was brought to Apollo, the biggest scarred imperial he had ever seen. Apollo’s smoldering gaze melted any courage that the small mirror had left. When Apollo asked why he should be kept alive? Beetle FREAKED out, he began spouting out bits and pieces of different languages of prayers and pleas for his life. Apollo understanding some of the foreign language, impressed him. He decided Beetle could best be utilized for his fluency in language and small stature if he accompanied him and Azalea on their looting trips to Beastclan territories, and if he refused he would be killed. Beetle of course, chose to serve under Apollo than the latter. Apollo was no fool though, he did not trust Beetle to runaway, he enforced the rogue dragon to adorn a cursed bright sweater (courtesy of Ancel) so he could be easily spotted, and it can only be taken off with a secret set of words that only Ancela nd Apollo know. Beetle would also be escorted by Apollo’s animated statues wherever he goes,much to Beetle’s annoyance. Begrudgingly, Beetle accepted his circumstance...for now.
