Lucifuge
Some men just want to watch the world burn... I'm one of them Lucifuge, or the Dark Phoenix as his enemies call him. No one's entirely certain how he came to be. Stories are told of a young male dragon one day arising out of the flames of a terrible fire. A dragon with a fiery mane and smoldering wings, with a body so dark, like the midnight surrounded him, or so had been told. Followed by a legion of demonic beasts, the dragon stepped forth. This event is what gave Lucifuge his nickname of "Dark Phoenix". Soon this beast began traveling the world, knowing only one purpose; To bring destruction and despair with his blazing flames wherever he could, setting his demon army out before him. Soon there were rumors about a demon general having descended upon the world, who would engulf the world in flames. Yet few had actually seen the beast. It was until one day, the coldhearted Lucifuge arrived upon the plague domains. He was baffled; the land was in such a state of decay, there was nothing left to engulf in flames. How could the dragons possibly live here? There was nothing for him to burn over here. So he explored some further, hoping to find a means to concur this wasteland. It was then that he encountered Pumpkin. Every dragon he had encountered up til then, fled in fear when they saw Lucifuge, but not Pumpkin. She playfully approached him, another thing that Lucifuge could not fathom. Up til then, he had been so organized in his goal, he never even realized he could feel any emotions. Up til then, he clearly felt the emotion of being annoyed by this random, cheerful being, so he set his minions upon her. Pumpkin dodged them, did them all in in ways too gruesome to speak of, and her mood changed, her entire way of being changed. She turned into a cold, merciless beast with a big, evil grin on her face. She spoke of being happy to have found an equal, someone who would not hesitate to kill. She spoke of her favorite killing methodes, leaving Lucifuge baffled once again. Yet he was also intrigued by her, this dragon who spoke of methods to conquer that he had never dared dreaming of, in this land that could not be burned. And so it is that he followed Pumpkin home to her lair, where Pumpkin wasn't afraid to show her sadistic side whenever Lucifuge tried to burn something.. or someone. Intrigued by Pumpkin, Lucifuge announced that he'd stay here from now on, and he'd serve as the leader of the clan, something which Pumpkin soon taught him, is not something he could do around her lair. Although she did permit him to stay. Since that day, Lucifuge stays around the lair, trying to learn more about Pumpkin and the plague lands. He was however in for a shocking surprise, as he learned that Pumpkin is in fact Tali, and Pumpkin only exists during the month of October. He got irritated since Tali wasn't someone he was interested in atall, yet he sticked around in the lair ever since, eager to see Pumpkin again. After many years, he realized he had fallen in love with her. She might've been a bit wacky and she might not have any feelings for him atall, but he was happy to be by her side. He didn't do too well at expressing his feelings, however, so they didn't get much further than a relationship based on lust. He took on a bit of a tsundere character. Acting all cold, cocky, sadistic and full of himself. But in the end of the day, he's the one who now simply foresees the fireplace from fire, heats the water, makes sure each room is lighted with torches, and surrounds the lair with flames to ward off attackers. He doesn't really get a say in any of this either. Even his demon underlings now seem to listen to Tali and perform chores around the lair, instead of obeying Lucifuge any longer. When faced with emotions other than anger-related emotions, it puts Lucifuge off really badly and makes him act shy and awkward. Apart from all that, Lucifuge has a huge rivalry going on with Amarok. The clan tries to keep them as far apart as possible, but Lucifuge would never pass an opportunity to pick a fight with Amarok. It's not like Lucifuge hates him, but his rivalry with Amarok gives Lucifuge a way of channeling all his energy. Name meaning: According to the Grand Grimoire, Lucifuge is the demon in charge of Hell's government by order of Lucifer. The name "Lucifuge" comes from two Latin words: lux ("light"), and fugio ("to flee"), which means "he who flees the light".
