Kuohu’s life has been an interesting one, characterized by wisdom, integrity, and compromise. The eldest daughter of the clan leaders, she was raised with expectations of leadership. She was eager to step into that role one day, though as she aged, it became increasingly apparent that she was not destined to rule. She was strong in character, but she lacked many of the key skills required in such a high office. It seemed that fate had something else in store for her.

Kuohu is a gentle creature, graced with a kindness and mellowness which she inherited from her mother. She is calm and thoughtful, with a bright sense of humor and a strong sense of empathy. She is easy to befriend and eternally trustworthy, earning her the love and respect of her clanmates. She also boasts an inherent craftiness, though she expresses it in a benevolent way. She may not be clan leader material, but she has potential for leadership just the same. As she grew into her own strengths, the only question was what that position would be.

Eventually, she took up the mantle of the clan’s peacekeeper. The position suits her well, as it makes use of her wisdom and calm nature, but it also involves a different skillset from true rule. This position calls on her to settle disputes among the clan and moderate debates. Being naturally calm and level-headed, this suits her quite well. It plays well to her strengths, and she performs her job well. On the rare occasions when something goes awry, she is both clever and strong enough to protect herself.

Growing up, Kuohu was always terribly close to her brother Kari. Of the two, Kari always showed more of the raw potential as an heir, but his playful personality softened it so that he remained likeable and non-intimidating. With his radiant energy and her mellow wisdom, the pair were viewed favorably by everyone else. They remain close to this very day.

Kuohu is also close with Zalt, the embattled ex-warrior from a distant, long-lost clan. She has even coaxed him to join in on her peacekeeper duties. If she’s worried that a situation might become tense, she invites the intimidating dragon along. All Zalt has to do is flank her and watch! He never behaves in an intimidating or rude manner, but he doesn’t have to. His mere presence is usually enough to prevent any sort of fuss. His presence is meant as a personal security matter rather than an active attempt at intimidation, but it’s hard to argue with results!

Many thought that if she could befriend such a distant creature, surely she should be able to befriend anyhow. However, something about the clan’s greeter Sono that rubs Kuohu the wrong way. It’s widely thought that something must have happened between two so kindly creatures to keep them from getting along, and it’s often gossiped about among the other dragons. Whatever transpired between them, neither is keen to talk about it.

She has confidants, as Odin has his ravens, who keep her informed of all the can's goings on, allowing her the power of the peace keeper.
