RubyFlare
Caretaker Caring | Loyal | Troublemaker RubyFlare was born into a Plague clan from Shadow and Fire parents. She grew up learning about Shadow and Fire, as well as Plague. Sunburst, her father, and RoseFire, her mother, felt it was important for her to know where she came from. So she spent her hatchling and young adult days learning all she could about her past. Her parents also taught her the duties they performed. From her father she learned how to be a great guard. She watched him most days, and would tag along frequently. She loved to watch him tackle intruders or sound the alarm. Her days spent with her dad were magical for RubyFlare, as she got to see her dad be strong and heroic. From her mother she learned about herbs and other plants. When not with her father she was with her mother in the greenhouses, or out collecting new samples. She learned how to cure different diseases and mend wounds. Her evenings and early morning were spent with her mother learning in these manners. When not with either of her parents RubyFlare was making trouble with her friends. Like her father when he was her age, she was brave and headstrong, and not afraid to test the limits. It wasn’t uncommon for her to get caught sneaking off with a precious item from another dragon’s hoard because of some sort of dare. Loyal to a fault, she will take the blame if a friend of hers gets caught red handed. She cares too much to let her friends get punished because of her. Although she is trained in the arts of healing and guarding, RubyFlare took her own path in her career choice upon coming of age. She wanted to be a caretaker of the grounds. So she learned another set of skills. She learned of the diseases allowed to permeate the territory, and those she had to keep out. Maintaining nests, dens, hollows, caves, and food supplies were also a part of her duties. Her main duty is caretaker, but she also helps her mother with healing her clanmates. Due to her caring nature, she can’t stand to see a dragon suffer. She also just loves to help those in need. Since she has become an adult she is a little less troublesome, but she still likes to cause a ruckus. Many of her childhood friends have moved on to different clans, but that doesn’t stop her from influencing the next brood of hatchlings. There’s a twinkle in her eye when daring a young one to steal something, or when challenging someone to a foot race. |
