Biography
◊ S P I R A E A ◊ GARDENER'S ASSISTANT |
SWEET ◊ THOUGHTFUL ◊ MODEST cis female (she/her) | asexual __________________________________________________ There is nothing delicate about Spirea. No matter how soft her steps, they still leave deep impressions in the earth, marking her passage. As a child in the Southern Icefield, she resented this -- Spirea longed to be fragile and beautiful like the snowflakes she would catch on her tongue. It wasn’t until she left her home of perpetual winter that she was truly able to bloom, recognizing her heartiness not as an ugliness, but as a beauty of its own. Her travels unwittingly led her across the threshold of Dorsia. Originally, she had planned to settle in the Everbloom Gardens, but became horribly lost in the Wood. Disoriented and afraid, Spiraea was about to give up hope when she came across the most beautiful garden she'd ever seen -- Rosarium's. For a moment, she thought she had found her way to the Gladekeeper's territory, as none of the fauna was native to the Wood that she knew of -- but that couldn't be so. "Who's there?" called a voice, startling her. "Akasha, if I catch you plucking flowers again I will personally --" A coatl burst forth from the brush, blinking in surprise. Roses seemed to bloom from her scales effortlessly. "You're not Akasha." "I'm, um. I'm lost," Spiraea confessed, her eyes prickling in relief at having found another dragon. "Oh darling," the coatl smiled, padding over to her and using a claw to gently catch a tear that had been on the verge of falling. "Not anymore." |
