Born amid the glittering mirrors of the Promenade, the young tundra found that he preferred hiding among the shadows and watching through hooded eyes as others played and frolicked around his home. It was in the crevices that he learned to be a shadow, hiding so only bright glimmer of his mane could be seen, and only when looked at. More often than not, the child found himself in trouble for having lead a potential playmate through a too dangerous area of the Promenade and having gotten them injured without any seeming remorse.

Tired of being accused of having purposely lead the others astray, the young one chose to instead leave from his family group and head off in search of a place to remain. At first he thought of perhaps joining a brother in the shadowy territory of the Wispwillow Grove, but a desire to be on his own drove him away from that path. Instead he found himself wandering in the darkness through lands, until he arrived in the Windswept Plateau. Frustrated by most clans only operating during the day, the tundra set off, looking for more nocturnal company until he finally stumbled upon tale of a clan who were more like a troupe and who offered roles for anyone despite their affinity for the night or day.

Darkness was firmly settled when he finally arrived, though sentries allowed his passage in since he did not smell like an enemy and they could sense no ill will. In time, he was accepted among the clan as one of the nocturnal builders but also as a means of protection. His once curse of leading dragons astray now works within the clan as a mechanic to lead those who might harm the troupe away through the night. Though he doesn't wish harm upon any other dragon, he's not opposed to ensuring that one might meet their fate among the reeds that dot the border between the Plateau and the Sea.

Having met a nocturne of equal nightly fright, Wisp chose his name on the ghastly nature of his affinity for leading others astray. His mate, Will, chose her name due to the legend of Wisp-o-Wills, creatures that would lead others to their fate. The pair enjoy protecting the clan by whatever means necessary, even if it's not quite right.

Recently, Wisp managed to wander into a marshy section of land between the ocean and the clan's land. Though he escaped, his fur has forever been altered, leaving him with an unusual gene pattern. Confusing though it is, he's simply grateful to still be around to protect the clan and uses the markings to his advantage for hiding better in the shadows during the evening hours.
