Ardeo’s first vision was of the past. He saw the destruction of an unknown Shadow clan by a roaming Beastclan horde--he saw huts and dwellings trampled to the ground as the clan’s residents, caught unaware, fled the scene in terror. At the time, he hadn’t known that he was a seer, and the “attack” threw him into a panic that only the clan’s priestess, Cissnei (who recognized his attack for what it was), could pull him out of. This marked the beginning of Ardeo’s apprenticeship. From then onward, Ardeo trained tirelessly and dedicatedly under Cissnei’s watchful eye, determined to never have another vision catch him as unprepared as he was for his first.

Ardeo still has periodic attacks, but none have been quite as bad as his first, and he is steadily learning to control them. Cissnei is certain that once he fully masters his prophetic abilities, he will be a seer of rare talent. Ardeo’s mate, Perdita, is also largely responsible for keeping Ardeo safe during his attacks: whenever Ardeo seems to lose himself too deeply in his visions, she coaxes him gently back to reality.

Ardeo is serious, kind, and thoughtful. He is profoundly grateful to his clan for providing him with the resources he needs to train his skills, and is therefore steadfastly loyal to the Clan of the Reborn. Cissnei hopes for him to one day take over as clan seer, and he works diligently in hopes of one day repaying the clan and the mentor that essentially saved him.
