Picky and loud, Izhuayo seems to be a dragon that gets on everyone's nerves. Her overall attitude with everyone except Risus is something to behold. Izhuayo get cranky, easily agitated, and can snap at anyone. Even the leader of the clan or Solace. Rules don't seem to apply to her, which makes her very difficult to talk to handle, yet the clan can't live without her. As the resident alchemist, she's supposed to have a few odd quirks to her, but sometimes a limit has to be drawn. No one is quite sure why she acts the way she does, but they assume it is due to an accident. They are wrong. Izhuayo has always been hard to please. She doesn't think she's better than anyone else in the clan, but she acts like it. With her nose stuck up in the air at the best of times. Her attitude doesn't make her a clan favorite, and it certainly doesn't make her reputation as a sociable dragon very good. The work she does, however, is remarkable. Izhuayo knows she is a master alchemist as all the things she wants to make are made perfectly. Never has there been a mistake in what she does. As a general rule of thumb, if someone wants to hire Izhuayo that isn't a member of the clan, they better open their wallets because they will be coughing up a huge amount. Clan members get a discount. This isn't to say that she's selfish, but she has to be picky with who she serves because of her skill. Her prices are high because she only uses the best ingredients, and her time is very valuable. She doesn't have any to waste. Despite all this and how picky she is, Izhuayo has taken on an apprentice. She decided Risus was the best option out of anyone in the clan. Young and impressionable. Izhuayo treats the Nocturne like her own child and is slowly teaching her the ropes. Two alchemist in a clan is better than one, especially since Izhuayo can't do everything on her own. A little help from someone that she knows won't mess up is much appreciated. After all, good help is very hard to find these days. By all accounts, Izhuayo doesn't make any sense. Her father was an ambassador and her mother an engineer. All the math said Izhuayo should have been one of those things or something in between, but instead, she chose the life of the cauldron. Even when she was little she knew what she wanted to be: an alchemist. She wanted to make tings explode and create life out of something that wasn't alive before. Or, at least she's pretty sure it wasn't. She liked the mystery of throwing something into a pot and seeing what comes out. Everything else was just predictable. With an ambassador, you knew something would end badly or not. As for an engineer, it wasn't cool anymore. She wanted something more than just running around meeting clans and something more than tinkering with a device she had no hope for. That's why she left. As a Wind dragon, she always had a very good sense of direction, so she set off right away to go discover something new. It was during her travels she found her teacher. A Snapper that knew exactly what he was doing. To put it bluntly, Izhuayo got her personality from the Snapper that taught her how to be an alchemist. She imprinted very quickly, but her skill didn't. Her skills were something out of the world. She could tell at a glance if an ingredient would be good or not and she knew how long things had to go into the cauldron for and if they would blow up. Nine times out of ten they would. She would put them in the cauldron anyway. Her love was explosions in the lab, after all. Her teacher saw it coming every time. Good thing he was a Water dragon. Once Izhuayo graduated from her training, she left to find a clan and found one in Reborn. She got to work right away building her shop and her reputation as an alchemist, and it was then that she met Risus. Needing help in the lab, Izhuayo took the little Nocturne under her wing and began to teach her how to be a true alchemist, not a star-gazer or whatever it was the Nocturne through she wanted to do. Izhuayo is pretty happy with her choices. Her lab is going well, she's making a lot of money she refuses to share, and Risus is a natural, much like her. All in all, Izhuayo is happy enough.
