VECTOR
Clan Architect | Clan Elder | My First Ridgie
Vector is the clan architect and mathematician. He is constantly busy designing, planning, and overseeing upgrades to the Wingfold lair complex.
At the beginning of his career Vector designed many fountains to adorn the plazas and pavillions of the clan's home; ironically, as a Ridgeback he was terrified of these additions. His fear, coupled with that of the other Ridgebacks', lead Ambrosius's previous mate, Montanus, to sarcastically suggest that the fountains spout sand rather than water. The rest, as they say, is history, and now sand fountains are Vector's signature design element.
Often unintentionally gruff, the other dragons usually send Vector's mate, Matrix, to deliver messages to him, as she is the only one he doesn't snap at automatically. He can also be condescending; he was once overheard saying he's never known a dragon that didn't need to learn the Concentration ability, as everyone's intellect falls woefully short of his expectations.
In his free time, Vector enjoys snacking on magically-roasted trout (he is an Arcane dragon, after all) and working complex math equations.
Vector was my very first Ridgeback, and his vibrant colors and dashing good looks started my obsession with the species.
