Biography
The Swamp Witch
Lazy | Subtle | Insolent
"Not what you wanted? I take coin, and you take my word for it."
_________________________________________________________________
The children of Ehratso are trained from the moment of hatching to serve as conduits for the natural world, dedicating their lives to the study of a single one of its features. Upon their coming of age, name and identity are cast aside, and the young adult is known from that moment on as the Voice for their chosen aspect. While to outsiders they seem mere peddlers of toys and tricks, they are revered by residents of the Cardinal House as guides and mentors, passing down the wisdoms of the natural world to prepare members for the perils of the wasteland beyond.
The Voice of the Mire was born for the part. As nuanced and uncooperative as her namesake, she speaks in riddles and deals in games, and rarely seems to give the asker what they came for. While coin noticeably improves in the quality of her service, Mire is at her best when left to her own best judgement. While she may not always give the customer what they ask for, she always delivers what they need.
Familiar: Basil
A particularly large slime which spends its days bubbling in the back of Mire's lair.
