O V E R V I E W
Their mother left them in the common nesting grounds of the Windsinger's Tale. She abandoned them. The nest guards told them not to fret, their mother loved them dearly they said. Loved them dearly but didn't want them to get hurt. She was protecting them the nest guards promised. Protecting them from their father. (Blurb by Xazz) Deep in the belly of the Erstwhile Ridge there resides a pleasant shop of rarities and wonders, safely wrapped in the glowing protection of its proprietor, Maira Taleweaver. It is a comfortable chamber, its largeness dampened by beautiful hanging tapestries and lights, magical fires of every color dancing in glass jars. All around, there are strange objects, piled impossibly high in disorganized yet somehow appealing displays. At its center is a large pitfire that sparks unpredictably in various colors. The shop is a living, breathing entity, the hearth, its heart, and Maira, its soul. Without Maira present, it is cold, dark, only the barest embers sleeping patiently in their containers. Maira found the Erstwhile Ridge as a young dragon, and she quickly discovered her affinity for salesmanship and appraisal. On her own, she managed to accumulate a great hoard of goods, through rough negotiation as well as her own forays into the world. Now, she runs a rarities shop, a collection of items she's snagged over the years.
