"Quick! Quick! Quick! Put it away! Put it away" Oil On Canvas storms past Akari to Thorn with more treasure than any lone Pearlcatcher should have.
"Why, what happened?" Thorn asks concerned as he opens the vault door and Oil begins tossing bags full of treasure through the opening.
"The payment just came through and Mother is looking at adopting a Wildclaw! 60,000 he is!"
"60,000!" Akari pipes in, then does a double take of the treasure available to the clan. He quickly decides to throw another fifty thousand in the vault.




Many clan members talk fondly of his mother as they were once belonging to her clan. He hears them talk about an enormously large Guardian from the Scarred Wasteland who was quiet, calm and strong.

Thorn only hopes he can grow up to uphold his mother's reputation.
