Shade approaches him after a long flight, noticing his father is different. He looks smug in his new festival look "Nice skin" says Shade "It really suits you." His father is about to thank him until he says "you don't look any different though". Forge laughs but makes a few swipes at his son with his claws. Later he thinks, 'you really are your mother's son'.

Akari's long time friend. Although Forge is considerably younger, they both act like old coots when they get together. His metalwork skills are unparalleled among the clan. He is prone to stroking his beard and pretending he's wise, most know better but the youngest dragons believe him to be incredibly intelligent and if Forge says it's true then it must be. This has gotten him in many tight binds with smarter dragons such as Isaye and Whisper.
