Irdis pocesses some magic and is able to see parts of the future. If only she would take some responsibility and behave like a true sorceress... Innien is determined to learn Irdis how to use her magic in favor of the clan. But Irdis does not want to be liked only for her magical capabilities and tries to experience as much of life as possible by doing something useful and non-magical every day, like scavenging or playing with the hatchlings. The only advance the clan has from Irdis's magic nowadays are her predictions about the weather.
