PERSONALITY:
A sexy librarian. Also snobby. That's less sexy. Karios places literacy at a high value, and openly discriminates against those who fail to comprehend that particular virtue. He's a highly organized individual, cautious he'd call it. Others call it pussyfooting. It can take Karios a while to come to a decision, but once it's there it's generally there to stay. He'll debate you into the ground should you challenge him, with the gleeful grin of a nerd who's spent too much time in model UN.

HISTORY:
Between his mother's studies and his father's work, Karios' home was no place for rambunctiousness. It suited him rather well, actually. Even as a hatchling, he was a quiet kind. After devouring Isabella's old lab notes, he quickly turned to the library for more.

Karios came to Stormbay from its richer and more lavish ally, the Longwings. He was neither the first nor the last to do this, as immigration between the two clans was a common occurance. In fact, Karios met the first dragon he ever loved. Themis, another child of the Longwings, resided in Stormbay. Karios attempted to court her, but political differences prevented them from ever getting too close. Themis fell when a crazed dragon blew up Stormbay's lair. One of Karios' biggest regrets is not surmounting his differences with Themis.

Upon his arrival, he was more wealthy than many in Clan Stormbay, but over the years he has spent much on building his own personal collection of knowledge. The books and scrolls and scraps of pages he hoards jealously, but he's more than happy to trade words with any who stop by to visit him.

CURRENT PLOTS:
Karios owns and runs a bookstore, predictably. His prices are rather exorbitant though, a product of his reluctance to part with most if not all of his wares. For a far lower price, you can purchase the books' knowledge sans paper and binding. Karios deals in money, trades for other books, and also in raw knowledge.

Stormbay Keep is a complex of tunnels and chambers that work through a mesa north of the Tempest Spire, near the border with the Sunbeam Ruins. The way in is a well-protected secret, and is constantly patrolled by Lairguards. Nobody who enters the mesa does so undetected. Once inside, a prospective buyer will find a horde of merchants. All can agree: if you seek it, it can be found.
