A young Spiral male, Slumber, was exploring in the Wispwillow Grove when he noticed an odd glow in what appeared to be an abandoned Fae nest high in an Acacia tree. He asked his friend Daydream if he would check out the nest. Daydream flew around the tree, testing for a scent. "This nest has been abandoned for some time, altho the egg within it is freshly laid." Daydream sniffed closer to the unhatched egg, twisting his head fins in excitement. "It is about to hatch - I will return it to our lair for hatching."

The egg hatched to a lovely Fae babe, clothed in banana, blue and red, acceptable to the lair of the Flying Bananas (jointly ruled by Nightmare and Lairspirit Foxbrow). Soon the babe would grow into adulthood and look something like this:

She chose the name Romaine, found a mate named Athens and tried out the coliseum to level 6, training in Healing. As the lair was rather Matriarchal, she became mother and formal leader to the magic-skilled dragons within.

After several years, the lair began to hibernate. Romaine was willing to remain to assist with their dispersal of goods to deserving lairs who were active, and then join in the hibernation when a male of Clan Nyytbloom of Moonlit Nyyt Weyr contacted Lairspirit Emberglo and Lairspirit Foxbrow, asking if Romaine could have a place with him. The Lairspirits conferred; Romaine was asked to move. Reluctantly, she complied.

Hopefully, she will be happy here. She decided to change her name to be in line with this new weyr and the clan of Fae. She has been offered genes. What she decides will be up to her. She is thinking this might be a decent place after all - she was given a colorful skin and an Illuminated Runescroll, recognizing her magic and healing skills. The day after she arrived, Pinkerton presented the weyr with lanterns that matched her colors. She intends to continue her work in the healing arts.
