The Painter
skilled | inventive | tireless

Born from a clutch of three, and being the only one to exhibit different colors, he never felt too close to his other siblings who were twins. Instead, he found himself befriending other dragons and tagging along with them as they went about their daily duties. His favorite dragon was an Imperial named Chiwen, who was the clan's herbalist and primary gatherer of berries and plants for the clan's herbivore dragons.

She was a patient dragon who enjoyed company, and teaching the various uses of each plant or berry. Unfortunately for her, NAME wasn't a great student and would rather smash the berries and play with the juice than to learn what they were used to cure. He was pleased, however, that she never raised her voice or grew impatient with him as he played. Instead she encouraged him to do what made him happy, and she even sometimes suggested that he mix certain berries together to see what they did.

Encouraged by her suggestion, he played with various berries he found that he could create vibrant colors with the juices, and if he mixed them just right, he could create entirely new colors. Playing with these colors he started to create beautiful works of art, attaching fibers from plants to his tail and using it as a makeshift paintbrush.

Delighting in this practice, he painted on anything and everything he could find. Tree's, stones, and sometimes even other dragons (to their dismay). Patiently steering him in the right direction, his Imperial friend suggested that he try canvas instead of clan-mates and he took to the blank canvas like a Maren to the Kelp Beds.

His greatest joy stemmed from creating new ways to put the paint on the canvas. Never a fan of the traditional, he often finds strange ways to use every day objects to apply his paints. Other dragons find this to be odd, but the results are often beautiful and always unique and he's made quite a name for himself (and quite a bit of treasure) creating works for the more artistically inclined dragons of the clan.
