A shooting star...

Kudrin, with his resistant Earth element, is largely unaffected by the Arcane warp, but as cleansing with it could suppress Fire as well, has been splitting his time between nursing afflicted dragons who will not be damaged by it and conventional territorial patrol. He is glad to see Striker back up and at it, and tries to time things so they can patrol or be at rest together.

Kudrin has minimal interest in Greenskeeper Gathering, and has been picking up extra shifts on territorial patrol. There are signs of a strange beast or dragon about, but he has yet to catch sight of them directly.

With the crisis behind the clan and no clear view of what the strange creatures might be, Kudrin has elected to take a trip up to Dragonhome to see about negotiating with his longneck rivals for some sort of joint guardianship and study of his Charge.

Kudrin is a cautious, level-headed dragon without much of a set role in the clan. Since the return to Fire, the clan-leaders have been encouraging him to take up a craft, though he has yet to settle on one. Traditionally he has also been something of a raider, hitting the clans of rival flights to steal their resources or injure their members, but this is far more difficult back in isolated Cindercone territory.

Well-liked in general, Kudrin is extremely close with Striker, and spends most of his time with him, though he does not share the mirror's work ethic. He views Tellikys like an annoying little sister—an unwanted tagalong on his missions whom he is nevertheless somewhat fond of—and has taken her as a kind of accessory Charge. He is fond almost to the point of courtship of Keion, who seems eager to make friends with him in turn.


Charge
Kudrin's Charge is a collection of petroglyphs detailing the history of the longnecks of Dragonhome. Some of them are ancient, and many include Second Agers, including the Speaker. When another group of longnecks moved in, rogue archaeologist Keion removed the petroglyphs from their place lest they be destroyed. She returned them to Kudrin shortly before the Greenskeeper Gathering. He often carries them with him on his tasks, and has learned Earth magic to reinforce them against any dangers on the battlefield.


Physical description
Kudrin is a somewhat large, and spare-framed, with less muscle mass than most guardians. Like many Earth dragons, his wings are short, and he is nearly flightless though he can manage short, fast, exhausting flights when pressed. His scales are smooth and bright, like polished sandstone, and he smells of warm rock and mud. Like most guardians, he can swim quite well.


Combat
Kudrin relies on speed and endurance, often serving as a wingman to his battle-partners. He fights exclusively alongside Striker, though they have no set third member. Nightshade has occasionally fulfilled this role, though the two guardians tend to clash.

Kudrin hails from a small clan in the Shattered Plain, which stands watch over what was once a battlefield.

Kudrin is the son of two wild guardians—one a rough-and-tumble dragon entirely devoted to his charge, the other a locally-famed beauty. He has quite a few brothers and sisters, most of whom are a great deal more settled than he is.

Familiar
The ashspine widow makes her home in a corner of Cindercone's western territory, where she serves as a passive part of the border defense. She considers Cindercone's territory her own and defends it with great tenacity, though with Kudrin's help she has come to view the clan of dragons as a neutral part of that territory rather than rivals to be ousted.

While on walkabout, Kudrin has let his bond to Char lapse as a test. If he comes back to find she has not rejected Cindercone Clan, he will be free to take another familiar, perhaps a longneck again. If not, he will have to wait to try again. In either case, he is utilizing the services of this boulder sprite to find geodes and other valuables, and Char is not being pulled out of her territory to follow him.
