in a clan full of oddballs and weirdos of all flavors, bosmat takes the cake. the eccentric dragon hails from the shifting expanse, wherein dragons of her ambition and work ethic are prized. the only reason that she ventured out to the viridian labyrinth was to find more...lively test subjects. lilith chanced upon her one day trying to reduce a very frightened dryad. lilith offered to have her join the clan and have all of the materials that she needed--so long as they were humanely killed. that wasn't the most enticing offer, but--fortunately for the creatures of the Gladekeeper's domain and unfortunately for her--she was homeless and is still quite incapable of taking care of herself. and with every successive move the clan makes, she finds more thing to melt (yippee!) and more reasons to stay with her new family (aww!). she is a tinkerer by hobby and now the clan's alchemist by trade; when baldwin "stirred up the pot," so to speak, she tried it out herself and absolutely fell in love with it. she loves watching things reduce from things to goopy things. she loves recombining the goopy things into shiny new things. it appears at times that she enjoys watching the process more than obtaining the results. however, she is much more intelligent than she lets on. she knows exactly what reactants she's working with and how to produce what she needs. she pulls in a sizable profit selling her excess creations. no one knows who buys her goods, though eyphah quietly manages her contacts and finances. bosmat spends most of her time working. the remainder of her time is spent trying to make friends with her clan mates. she is doomed to fail in this endeavor, as many of them find her to be both loud and frightening. her general eccentricity and especially cavalier attitude towards life and death unnerves the lot of them. she also speaks in a very erratic way, moving from one topic to the next with no coherent connections to be had. though dragons tend to avoid her at almost any cost, her ambition extends to all applications; she relentlessly pursues companionship. the few dragons that can stomach her presence for more than minutes at a time realize that she tires herself out pretty quickly. when that happens, she isn't so bad to be around (until she attempts to coerce you into giving her some of your things for experimentation). |
