Charming | Spymaster of the Toxic Wastes | Lookout

As one of the Toxic Wastes' few lookouts, Siluet can often be found outside of the lair, perched in decaying trees or hiding among infectious foliage with his eyes trained on the horizon and all surrounding areas. If a dragon plans on coming by the lair, Siluet is usually the first to know and the first to tell the others. However, being a lookout isn't his main job, nor his claim to fame; in fact, Siluet is the Spymaster of the wastes, a job he takes utmost pride in. When new clans move in close by or ask for alliances, it's Siluet who is sent along with the proper ambassador, and Siluet who infiltrates the clan to their deepest level to find out if they're better suited as allies or enemies. He is known for being able to talk his way into or out of anything, making him the best possible candidate for what he does. He's the pride of the Wastes... and the pride of his mother, Nex, who fawns over him at every possible opportunity, much to Siluet's chagrin.

No true spy is complete without a man already on the inside. Red - a simple codename given by Siluet - is a somewhat prolific member in his Beastclan territory near the Bamboo Falls. He is a constant source of information about the Beastclans, much like many of the others affiliated with the Toxic Wastes; the special thing about Red, however, is that he has become wholly dedicated to his dragon allies and is willing to offer even the most secret of information. Some say it's only a matter of time before he's caught, but Siluet says otherwise; Red is as crafty and charming as his dragon friend, and should any doubt be cast upon his loyalty in the Beastclans, there are many who would defend his honor thanks to his flawless acting. Siluet sees him as more of a friend than a familiar, and the two are incredibly close.

Backstory

Siluet is one of the few dragons born to the Wastes, and only the second to still have a parent in it - Nex, the clan Courier, also born to the wastes years before her son. Through his adolescence, Siluet was very close to his mother and was always by her side, sharing in her optimism and inherent charm. Whereas his mother was a wandering, clumsy dragon, however, Siluet matured into a keen and sure-footed predator.

As he grew, Siluet mastered the art of his charm and cunning, getting into all sorts of trouble as he talked his way past guards and warriors to do as he pleased. For those he couldn't get past - namely Tox and Andiron - he simply learned to slip by, ensuring the ever-burning annoyance of Tox, yet intriguing King Andiron. Siluet's stealth wasn't as great as that of some of the Shadow-born dragons, but it was adequate enough to get him where he wanted to be - and Andiron found this fascinating.

Even once the term "Spymaster" became public, Siluet was able to continue his efforts wherever he went, sometimes even using his title as leverage in conversations. He proudly walked alongside the ambassadors and warriors to formal dinners, clan gatherings, important conferences, hunting parties, and all other manner of meetings with other clans. Though having faced a few close calls, Siluet has never actually been caught in the act or captured for his covert surveillance, and even to those who have heard of the Spymaster title, Andiron claims Siluet is officially just a clan lookout and nothing more.

He has grown distant from his mother and prefers to socialize with others, but Nex is still proud of her boy and tells him at every possible opportunity. She maintains that together they could do amazing things, as she visits clans all over Sornieth herself, but Siluet has yet to take her up on the offer. In truth, he'd rather do undercover work with Beastclans than work with his own mother. Perhaps someday he'll grow up a little more and stop being so embarrassed by her.
