Biography
Born into the Arcane clan, Feint inherited her father's fascination with historical artifacts as well as the light claws from both sides of the family.
Haywire kept his small band of criminals busy, and Feint was never bored with the constant flow of information and artifacts that passed through her talons, but she was never quite content with the idea of following the erratic dragon. She didn't want to be subservient. She wanted to lead.
Her dissatisfaction and wanderlust led her to leave the safety of her father's clan and strike out on her own. She lied to Haywire, telling him she was going out to retrieve some sacred tomes.
She couldn't fool her father, however. As she walked out of the cave, Gambit handed her a map and winked.
"Why does the map have a stop here? There's nothing here but dark..."
Feint's glowing pink eyes struggled to adjust to the gloom as she moved her way silently through the briars and mushrooms.
She felt a gentle tug on her belt and whirled around to peer into the gloom, "Trying to steal... from me??"
Her gaze landed on a small brown dragon doing her best to slink into the murk.
A hooded red dragon appeared next to Feint, startling her, "No, no, small one. Distracted dragon, consistent pressure. She was too aware." He turned to her and grinned mischievously, "and who might you be?"
She glared at the arrogant dragon, "I'm Feint, daughter of Gambit. You dare to steal from me? Thieving runs in my blood."
The red dragon looked surprised for a moment, and then snickered, infuriating her, "Don't put all your cards on the table too soon, bookworm. We may yet surprise you. Let me show you something."
And with that he raced off, closely followed by his young apprentice. Glad to be rid of them, Feint reached for her map... and it was gone. Grinding her teeth, she took off after the duo.
Once in the lair, she kept to the shadows, effortlessly blending in and keeping just behind the racing dragons ahead of her.
The duo came to a halt in the back corner of the lair, and the arrogant red dragon grinned back at Feint and waved her map, "Distracted dragon, consistant pressure. Come on in!"
They passed behind a pile of rocks with an exasperated Feint close behind.
Once inside, she stopped short. There were piles of treasure and tomes scattered throughout the cave, but what really drew her attention were the walls. Depictions of dragons with descriptions of their deeds, and among them...
"Your father is one of the best, and he comes from a line of the best. Would you like to meet your grandparents?"
