Alice works as the clan's informant, using her skill in deception and stealth to gather information. it's not often that she needs to put such talent to use, considering that Rai (and most of the rest of the clan) likes to keep interactions open and out on the table, but her knowledge can be useful, especially if the other party is being less truthful than first thought.

tho her abilities are a boon to the clan, Alice doesn't necessarily gather such information for the benefit of her clan. she simply enjoys being able to read others, digging past their layers of disguise to see their true intentions. she revels in the power she feels over others, in this respect, and her clanmates have learned not to cross her, lest she completely ruin one's political or social standing with but a few words.

despite her morally ambiguous intentions, she's not one to go out of her way to make others feel uncomfortable. one only needs to worry abt her if they prove a threat to her or her clan. otherwise, she's fairly amicable, her steady and smooth voice enough to sooth any anxiety others may feel around her (which makes her job of gathering intell all the easier, since a relaxed dragon tends to be more willing to talk~). thus, most of the info she's gathered stays locked within her own mind, only useful to her as a silent reminder of her leverage over others.

tho their interest in reading others may be similar, Alice rather despises Myco, as she finds him crude and generally unpleasant. she would use her abilities against him, but they're not all that effective if only b/c Myco has no shame-- he's not afraid to own up to his own foul tactics and fouler personality, so it's little use to try and dig it up. this lack of shame, and Myco's delight in pushing and prodding others' buttons, makes Myco one of the few dragons (if not one of the ONLY dragons) to make Alice's temper flare up, and true to her Fire roots, it's a force to be reckoned w/. this only irritates Alice more, as she prides herself on being quite composed and secure in her emotions.

Alice's thorny companion was gifted to her by the Shadowbinder's domain some time ago, long before she joined this clan (the tendrils were likely attracted to her thru her clearly Shadow-leaning tendencies). the sentient brambles are usually docile, slowly shifting across her hide, or playfully brushing against nearby dragons to give them a bit of a scare. they also work as a second set of limbs for Alice, seemingly happy to pick up the slack where Alice's own paws may not be enough. if Alice is in danger, however, these tendrils turn deadly, rising up around her w/ thorns flared. Alice has used them to her advantage as a threat on more than one occasion.
