Biography

Myco (pronounced Mee-koh) is interested in inter-clan relations and all the subject entails, specifically interested in discussing territory boundaries (and how to expand those boundaries).

Myco's much more "underhanded" in his approach, not afraid to hide details, or even outright lie to get what he or the clan wants/needs. quite the wordsmith, Myco can weave tangled webs of falsities fit to confuse even the keenest minds. this leads to a mutual disdain between Corselia and Myco. Corselia, while certainly not free from her own forms of subtle manipulation, finds Myco's tactics cross too far into the red-zone of political integrity. Myco sees Corselia as too "spineless", not taking as much as she could from a deal. Corselia has been doing her best to keep Myco in line, but she has reluctantly found his sly plans to be a boon on more than one occasion, even at the risk of fallout. Corselia has come to terms that so long as she can keep Myco from going too far, his approach can be a great help in certain situations (as grudgingly as she may agree to his plans).

Myco is just as cryptic outside of his work, and most clanmembers find it difficult to interact w/ him w/o becoming either disoriented or uncomfortable. usually both. he finds great amusement in being able to read others like an open book, and picking apart their insecurities right in front of them. while this is a great help in his work (though, as Corselia has scolded him for before, he could be a bit more tactful about it, considering she's had to pacify a few too-many riled-up dragons after a meeting w/ Myco), such a skill is merely a headache to his clanmates. Myco also finds amusement in that fact, though he considers it less of him causing irritation, and more of, "others not being able to accept their own shortcomings".

w/ his troubling morality, one would think he'd have been kicked out of the clan by now (or never welcomed in the first place), but he's been found to be generally harmless to the clan. a source of irritation and/or anxiety, depending on who u ask-- no doubt! but he's comfortable w/ just that, and being able to make his clan more powerful thru his work. he's happy enough in his current position, and has no intentions of trying to climb the ranks or cause any real trouble in his clan.

Gregory is a favorite victim of Myco's 'teasing', the timid Spiral's reactions endlessly entertaining to the Coatl (and since Gregory must work w/ both Corselia and Myco a lot, Myco has plenty of opportunities for this teasing). obviously, being Gregory's best friend, Corselia does not tolerate this at all, and keeps a protective eye on Gregory whenever Myco's around.

outside of work and pestering clanmates, he enjoys lounging and observing clanmembers from tall, inconspicuous perches.

Myco's speech pattern contains very clear glottal stops, but less noticeable are the slight subharmonic tones underlying his main vocals. these subharmonics used to be very prominent when he first joined the clan, but have faded with time. or, rather, less w/ time, and more w/ necessity. while the subharmonics can be quite unnerving, they lose some of their unsettling factor when they're a constant. thus, Myco's trained his voice into 'common' harmonics for his general speaking voice, and only pulls out the subharmonics when he wants to make a lasting impression.

Myco is rather versed in Beastclan languages, his Serthis being almost perfectly fluent.

((I can't believe I found a dragon that can pull off a fedora))
