Peridot

Peridot originally hatched in the Blacksand Annex of The Ashfall Waste. Though the Blacksand Annex is not particularly known for having the nicest people, a clan ruling over a certain section of the annex was particularly cruel. While the clan in question was not particularly powerful, they were expanding at a surprising rate, and were starting to threaten the territories of other clans. This clan was known for torturing their captives for information on other clans and abusing their hatchlings to make stronger warriors. This practice killed a lot of the hatchlings in the clan, with the ones who suffered severe injury from this abuse seen as too weak for battle and killed. Peridot was one of these unfortunate hatchlings, as she was partially blinded when lava was thrown into her face. Just as she was about to be killed, a neighboring stronger clan ambushed the clan she was in, effectively crippling the clan she was in. While the clan that ambushed her original clan found out about its treatment of captives and their hatchlings several days later and mount an extermination campaign against that clan, Peridot escaped into the wilderness of the Ashfall Waste undetected.
