Talvian is the progenitor of the Clan of Stolen Fires. Created through ancient magic, he was born into the Ashfall Waste under the Flamecaller. Born with a fragment of the everlasting flame within his breast, Talvian's desire to serve and his desire to create warred within his heart. This clash of ideals distanced him from his deity and mother, and eventually he left the Great Furnace in search of a goodly home for himself. The fire in his heart prevented him from completely leaving his mother’s domain, so he settled within the crags and blackened sand of the wastes, alongside his lifetime companion, Verian. Together they made a pact with a spirit of flame there, who wanted nothing more than to once again be a part of dragonkind. In exchange for the spirits abode, Talvian and Verian vowed to create a large family of diverse dragons, so the spirit would never be alone.

The Flamecaller, always looking for how to boost and enhance her efforts, saw a chance for the smiths to grow and develop. She sent missives to Talvian's budding home and tasked him with developing new methods for ore extraction and acquisition. She also gave her children leave to create trade routes and establish the exchange of materials to acquire rare materials within the Ashfall region. Being able to serve his mother and also live out his own dream side by side made the flame in Talvian's heart flare and swell, and he set to work, building his family and helping his Mother and God.

After receiving a message from Verian that the Spirit of Fire had sourced new members of the clan, Talvian was introduced to Ajax and Antigone, who hailed from a Clan within the region of Light. These two dragons had demonstrated unforseen skills with thier elemental fire, and Talvian was struck with the idea to found the now Wings of Dark Sun. In addition to his normal duties, he now works with Ajax and Antigone to train those who show exceptional potential with fire, no matter thier origins.
