Sonya wasn't originally an Oceanologist. She used to be the guard of a clan nestled in the beaches of the Earth realm. She took her job quite seriously, using the water she was born to as her main defense. Even though she served the clan faithfully, few dragons ever spoke to her. She was fine with that...or that's what she told herself. In truth, she was terribly lonely.

She found comfort in the ocean. She spent her time watching the native species and studying them extensively. Every time she started to feel upset, every time she failed at something, it was the one place she could go to forget her troubles.
