When Diode came to rest in this modest cave during one of the many storms in the Shifting Expanse, she didn't draw much attention. It wasn't until she started gathering materials for a project that the others became curious. Some expressed concerns when she started carving into the wall of the cavern, but relaxed after a few assurances the Matriarch. After several weeks she had created an ornate bookcase, carved directly into the wall and with wooden accents. It did not lay empty for long however, as Diode began her task.

One by one she approached each clan member and listened to their story. She got to know who they really were, not who they appeared to be. Then, once she was satisfied, she would leave for several days, and once she returned, she would go directly to the bookshelf to add the newest tome. Some were large, some were small, but all were colored to match their subject. They remained untouched for now, resting on the bookshelf that held the beating heart of the clan.
